In this episode we take a fun return trip to planning stages of Creation. There are some nice tie-ins of past topics. Also way back to the beginning of the series Brian Dalton promised (in a YouTube thread,) an equal-time poke at the dogmatic brand of atheists.
Here we go... some of Mr D's best stuff.
Mr Deity and the Good
(Sorry for the delay, in part because my 9 year old PC is maxed out and getting tired.)
Larry contemplates early sketch proposal for the afterlife...
(A frame from episode, composite concept by me). Drawing is of an old Polynesian concept of the afterlife. (from Wikipedia entry on Heaven) See also Afterlife

A good dose of high-minded philosophy AND a bestiality joke!
What more could we ask for?!
THANKS for the love! we love this episode, nice and simple, back to the basics right?

"We are! And it is wonderful there, wherever it is. Honestly, that episode rocks. Can I sign up for the new 'afterlife' feature now?"
I'd like an unlimited supply of cappuccino in my after-life, if that could be added to the list for review.
thanks.
Love seeing you guys get back to the debates between Mr D and Larry! Wonderful stuff!
So, how do we know if we're not already in an afterlife?
Ticket stub in an old pocket?
I've been silent on the past few episodes because I haven't felt too strongly one way or the other. However, this last episode has caused me to sing praise! Jimbo, it's definitely back to the basics, and it was glorious! However, I have to wonder about the wisdom of approving thermometers via the "back door." I hate to question Mr. D, but that's an issue I just can't get behind...
"That's a really bad day for the animal." Exquisite line.
To me, this is the magic stuff of Mr. Deity. Simple presentation, jam-packed with brilliant dialogue.
Masterful.
"Bad day for the animal"!!! I woke my wife up laughing so hard... Thanks again guys
Classic D! One of these days I'm going to run out of superlatives for this show. Thank the Deity for Thesauruses (it was Mr. Deity, right?)
When the title popped up, I was hoping that it would be EXACTLY what it was. Great work guys.
Jimbo, Brian, brilliant as always.
Another brilliant episode, with another original take on a familiar theological issue, in a few minutes and no frills. The dilemma: eternal boredom vs eternal nothing.
One small technical matter -- I'm left-handed, as is Larry/Jimbo. But if I was acting, I'd pretend to write with my right hand. (Or is Larry meant to be a little gauche?) I see this all the time, and I think it looks goofy. Maybe only us lefties notice.
This episode renewed my faith.
father wolf-
yes I am left handed, and being a method actor I take the craft very,
oh who am i kidding I just show up and i'm thankful brian let's me paraphrase!!

This episode was brilliant in every way: the script, the random interconnectedness of the subject matter, and the timing . . . oh god, the timing . . .
this was back to basics, and it was brilliant - thanks guys!
I don't speak english natively. Could somebody tell me what Larry says after asking mr. D about "in the mouth", "backdoor" and "in the ear"? Something along "So all the [..] are good?"
"All thermometers are good"...
"Hardcore atheists are basically just fundamentalists without the big hair and toll-free phone number." Brilliant!
