Seek and Ye SHALL FIND! (Unless you're looking for Episode 10, then you'll have to go to YouTube)

Episode 11 is VERY GOOD! It may be a bit too political for some, but the WIT is with us!

And Jimbo, no offense, but isn't "attending parties" the reason you got the "condition" in the first place?!?

Anonymous said...

I like that "Anonymous": "the WIT is with us!"

"Use The Wit, Luke!"

The new episode's a hoot!

However, I can't wait to see Jesse!

Poor Jimbo! At least you've been a good sport about Brian's remark in the thank you vid.

So that's what they mean when they say the "Lord works in mysterious ways."

Great job, Lou (George). We waited for you and you delivered.

I'm going to use my omniscientistness and say that Season 2 is going to kick some butt.

Worst episode ever. I hope the rest of Season 2 isn't current events and political commentary. What happened to poking fun at scripture?

thanks for the new episode. i wasn't overwhelmed in the first viewing, but i'm glad to know more are on their way.

Congrats on your new home!

Not having an RSS feed for new episodes is going to make it harder to know about new episodes. I'm not going to check crackle.com every day.

Anonymous said...

hey all,

again, i am fine and thanks for all of you concern.
i'll be working with crackle on the rss and hopefully have it up tomorrow sometime.

thanks again,

jimbo

and don't worry, we do get back to the scripture....you know cause he's deity and he has to run the world, there's a lot to do!

I certainly hope they do get back to the sort of comedy that got the fans excited about it in the first place.

Episode 11 seemed like very "cheap" comedy to me. The dry, deadpan delivery of little gems like "wait for Lou" and Jesse's full "one-third partner" were perfect. But here we have comedy that seems to have come from somewhere between Saturday Night Live and MadTV. "Bush is a dummy." "Bush is very religious." How original. How about an episode about airline food?

And of course, I mean this with all due respect and in the most humble and obedient manner in which constructive criticism can be delivered.

Anonymous said...

I agree. The problem with Ep. 11 is that it suggests Bush is smart enough to have avoided the Iraq fiasco, but at the same time is so stupid he "gets stuck".

Unfortunately, the rest of Season 2 has already been written and shot, so any constructive criticism from the humblest of we mortals comes too late.

Let us bow our heads and pray for our beloved show, and that Mr. D doesn't 'Job' me if he happens to read this.

Anonymous said...

ok, don't get me wrong, we do appreciate the critique, but keep the faith, please, the rest of the episodes will surely please.

Brian's self-deprecation in character as Mr. D should not be overlooked. Simple? Yes. Political? Yes. A bit uncharacteristic? Yes, to a point.

The wordplay, the subtleties, the Daltonistiveness is definitely there. Or is is Daltoninisticy?

Anonymous said...

don't listen to the haters, jimbo! while the episode didn't quite measure up to The Really Big Favor (my fave) in my opinion, it was definitely funny. what's more, people have to realize, as i'm sure you and brian do, that if the series is ever to end up on television it HAS to be able to move beyond scriptural humor, including politics and other timely issues.

keep it up

Francis,

Haters? Isn't that a bit strong? A simple critique of one episode does not mean disdain for the entire series. Critique is necessary for improvement. And I don't at all agree that Mr. Deity needs to sacrifice what makes it unique in order to fit in with the crap that's currently on TV.

While I agree with the criticism stated thus far, I, like the others, will remain faithful to the Deity!

Anonymous said...

Ok...while most of us agree that the new episode of Mr. D is not that great...I am certain that great things are in store for the faithful...those of us that have waited months for the good stuff...those of us that initially checked daily for updates that never came...those of us that watched each episode multiple times...those of us that spent way too much time looking at each installment in too much detail including Mr D's VISA Gold Card that was on display in two episodes...

I wish you folks the best...

An idea for consideration

Mr Deity, Larry, Lucy & Jesse hanging out at a gay bar

Lucy is really into it

Jesse is having fun dancing

Larry is scared beyond belief

Mr D is soaking up the design sense on offer

All the best

If you hadn't noticed, "Mr. Deity and the Intel" has snagged over a million views in the few days it has been up. Congrats to Brian, Jimbo, Amy, Sean, et al.

Anonymous said...

Also, if you hadn't noticed, Crackle reneged on their declaration that another new episode would be added every other Saturday STARTING on Saturday, October 20.

Are they not reading their own copy? What is wrong with these people?

Dave MacD said...

Really? I was now expecting one every other Wednesday. Which is regular enough for me.

(feel free to make jokes about things being "regular")

Murphy J. Stillwater said...

To err is human. To really fuck something up requires corporate financing, lawyers, a marketing department, scheduling, planning and implementation meetings, reinvention of the wheel, and apparently, Sony.

I just with I could win the lottery, buy Brian and the gang out of the Crackle thing, and give them millions of bucks in development money in exchange for an EP credit somewhere down the road. Oh, and of course points on the back end.

What do we WANT?
--New Mr. DEITY!
When are we getting IT?
--Really SOON!

Tomorrow is the day, if Crackle is true to their word. New Mr. Deity every two weeks on Saturdays. Keep your browsers refreshed and hope for the best!

Here's one for you -- A Nebraska fan who brought his two young sons to Lincoln to watch the Cornhuskers play football was arrested for Child Abuse . . . for bringing two young sons to Lincoln to watch the Cornhuskers play football 8-{

For the love of Brian!

Crackle, you've got some splainin' to do! Remember all of those episodes that you paid for? Well here's an idea...show them.

Murphy J. Stillwater said...

This is as screwed up as a soup sandwich. I bet Sony management could muck up a one-car funeral.

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry to say this but we've been tricked again. Well, it's not the first time and I guess it won't be the last.
Brian and Jimbo: a little bit of information is too much to ask for? Gracias.

Crackle

Fool us once...Shame on you!
Fool us twice and uh...

Son of a....They fooled us and got away with it again! And they've fooled us more than twice now!

Anonymous said...

Well, to be FAIR we should NOT have expected a new episode on October 27th. The new season was supposed to start on the 20th (and it came early) and then new episodes were to be released every OTHER Saturday. That means Season 2 -- Episode 2 is not supposed to be here until Saturday the 3rd of November. Stay tuned . . . same bat-time . . . same bat-station!

Anonymous said...

No, that first episode was supposed to be released on Wednesday the 17th with the 2nd one being released on the 20th and THEN every other Saturday. So, yeah, they DO owe us an episode.

Fool us twice, shame on corporate America

Brian, Jimbo, anything info?

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure where you got this scheduling info. I have not heard anything like this from the Crackle people. What they told me was that the next episode would be released next Saturday (Oct. 3), and then every two weeks after that. And as far as I know, that's still the schedule. B

Crackle Report:

Mr. Deity - Season 2 starts OCT 17, with new episodes available every other Saturday starting on OCT 20...

Sat Oct 06, 04:13:00 PM UTC

Tom, did you start a rumor? =)

Anonymous said...

See this screen cap.

Also, see typo in copy where "premiers" should be spelled "premieres". Sometimes knowing how to read sucks. Also, "starting" usually means starting that day, but in this case I guess "starting" means start counting that day...

Nalane said...

Brian,

We got this scheduling info from the Crackle web site. I just checked it again. After the description of your show, it states... "New episodes will be spotlighted in Moving Targets every other Saturday starting October 20th."

What happened to episode 10? The Seed was an awesome episode!

I hope cast and crew know we adore them! In my humble and maybe stupid opinion, you guys have a little mismanagement issue. Here's hoping Murphy hits the powerball!

Anonymous said...

Don't mess with Mr Deity fans; We've got archived screen caps! OMFG! Thanks Tom!
Kudos to Brian and Mr Deity crew...
Hrmph! to Crackle.

Anonymous said...

I see your "Hrmph!" to Crackle and tack on a why I oughta...[shakes fist]

I've got your Methodist right here!

Don't mess with the circuit riders, Crackle...

Dave MacD said...

Today's the day. Now where are the goods?

Anonymous said...

Crackle must be on a certain kind of Daylight Savings Time that puts their clocks back one day instead of one hour...[still shaking fist]

Anonymous said...

NEW DEITY!!! Crackle finally comes through.

Well done! An improvement from the last episode.

Anonymous said...

Better, but weak.

Anonymous said...

Just got the word. Episode 12 is up on crackle.com.

Free will versus manifest destiny. If you can't find humor in that, you're beyond help.

Much better stuff. The quick banter of Mr. Deity, and our hero Larry returns.

Heh. Lucy's favorite song is "Under Pressure".

Dave MacD said...

I'm so happy I could dance the Macarena!

Anonymous said...

It's "The Hustle" you dope! ;-p

Dave MacD said...

Maybe if the writer's strike lasts long enough, Sony will start playing some episodes of Mr. Deity to fill up some TV time. Probably not, but I can dream, right?

Anonymous said...

can we not download episodes to our Ipod's now?

Anonymous said...

i should be getting the rss feed tomorrow, hopefully. sony has to "help" me with it, so..yeah.
and to top it all off, they are encoding in a format that only plays on new ipods. they said they are going to change this, but, um...yeah.

jimbo

Anonymous said...

You can dowload new episodes to you ipod still. I get them from itunes.

Anonymous said...

I figured out the Ipod thingy :)

the files that come in on the feed are mp4 files and they won't play on the ipod, but you can right click on them in itunes and convert them to the m4v format that the ipod can play. Thank Larry I can still take my scripture anywhere I go!!!

It seems to me that the killing blow to basic network TV sit-coms is that Brian's "Thanks to the Fans" vid is funnier than an entire season of "Two and a Half Men," "According to Jim," or "Everybody Loves Raymond."
